Custom motors

Most of our work starts from a catalogue model and changes the parts that matter for your product. Our engineering department confirms what can be built, and our sample workshop makes the first units.

What can change

Winding
Wire size and turns chosen for your voltage, speed and torque.
Gearbox
Gearbox length and reduction ratio, beyond the ratios listed for each gear motor.
Brushes
Carbon brushes for higher current and longer life, or metal brushes for low current and quiet running.
Shaft
Length, diameter, flats, or a gear or pulley pressed on.
Leads and connectors
Solder tabs, lead wires cut to length, or wires with your connector.
Drive electronics
Brushless motors supplied with our driver, or set up for your own controller.
Marking and packing
Part numbers, labels and packing arranged for your incoming inspection.

How a custom order runs

  1. Send your requirements

    Voltage, speed and torque at your load, size limits and yearly quantity. Add a drawing if you have one.

  2. Engineering review

    Our engineering department proposes a motor, winding and gearbox, and sends a quotation.

  3. Samples

    Our sample workshop builds samples for you to test in your product.

  4. Approval

    You confirm the sample and the specification we will build to.

  5. Production and shipment

    Production runs to the approved specification, with inspection before packing.
